Artist terms and guidelines

01Who can upload

• You're from the Chandigarh tricity, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana or Himachal Pradesh, or you perform there regularly.
• You're 18 or older. Under 18? A parent or guardian adds their name and number and gives consent with you. If you're selected, they come with you on the day.
• Solo acts and groups of up to six on stage. One person registers for the group and confirms that every member agrees to these guidelines.
• One entry per act. If you do two art forms, send the one you're best at.
• It's free. Nobody from Main Bhi Founder will ask you for money to upload, to be shortlisted or to be selected. If anyone does, tell us at hi@mainbhifounder.com.

02Your video

• 60 seconds or less. Videos longer than 60 seconds are not reviewed.
• Vertical (9:16). Shot on a phone is fine. 1080p is enough; 4K files get too big to upload.
• MP4 or MOV, up to 100 MB, uploaded from your artist profile. Instagram, YouTube or Drive links are not accepted as an audition. If your file is bigger, export it in 1080p. Your Instagram, YouTube and portfolio links go on your profile, for your artist page and our review.
• Start with “Main hoon ___, from ___.” and end on “Main bhi founder.”
• One performance, lightly edited. Trims and titles are fine. No heavy filters, no voice changers, no face filters.
• Follow the brief for your art form. On-brief videos are reviewed first.

03What we don't accept

Families and children are in the hall, and every video may go on MBF's channels. A video with any of these is not reviewed and not posted.

• Abuse, gaalis or vulgar lines and gestures.
• Anything that targets a religion, caste, region, gender or community.
• Political parties, leaders or slogans.
• Lines or visuals that glorify guns, drugs, alcohol or violence.
• Someone else's work: their lyrics, their recording playing under you, lip-sync or karaoke tracks. Covers are allowed only as your own live arrangement, with the original artist named.
• AI-generated voices, faces or music.
• Brand logos, sponsor shout-outs or paid promotions.
• People in the video who haven't agreed to be in it, or children without their parent's OK.

Breaking these after your page is live takes the page down. We'll tell you why on WhatsApp.

04Your rights and how we use your video

You keep ownership of your video, your song and your words. Uploading gives Main Bhi Founder free, non-exclusive permission to use it as listed below, whether or not you're selected.

• We credit you every time with your stage name and handle.
• We may trim it, add subtitles, the MBF logo and the event name. We won't change what you say or sing, or show it in a way that misrepresents you.
• You confirm you own the rights to everything in the video — music, words and beats — and that everyone who appears in it has agreed.
• Anthem songs stay yours. If MBF wants to use your rap or song as its official anthem, we agree terms with you first, in writing.
• No payment either way. We don't pay for uploads and you don't pay us. Selected acts get what's listed on this page.
• Want it taken down? Email hi@mainbhifounder.com or WhatsApp +91 99589 01114 with your artist page link. We remove it from the website, the app and our channels. We can't pull back reposts other people made before that.
• Your email and number stay private. They never show on your artist page. We use them only to talk to you about your entry and MBF events, and we never sell them. See the privacy note.

05How selection works

• The MBF team watches every video that follows these guidelines.
• What we look for: the performance itself, how original it is, how well it fits the brief, whether it can hold a hall of 2,000 people, and a clean set.
• Followers don't decide. Someone with 300 followers has the same chance as someone with 3 lakh.
• Selection is never for sale — not to sponsors, not to managers, not to anyone.
• The shortlist plays live at the MBF monthly forum in Chandigarh, one piece each. We send the date and place on WhatsApp.
• Six acts are picked for the main stage: three in the day (comedy, theatre or skit, folk) and three at night (rap, singing, band), opening for the headliner.
• Painters and mural artists don't play the stage. Selected work is posted on MBF's Instagram with your name and handle.
• One Best Regional Artist: on the night, the MBF jury picks the best of the six stage acts. The headliner hands over the award on the main stage.
• Everyone gets a reply, selected or not. Our decision is final.

07What you agree to when you tick the box

The upload form has one required tick box. Ticking it means you agree to all of these.

• You've read these guidelines and your video follows them.
• It's your own work. You have the rights to everything in it, and everyone in it agreed to be in it.
• MBF can show and post your video on its website, app and social media, as set out in section 04, whether or not you're selected.
• MBF can contact you on WhatsApp and email about your entry, your artist profile and MBF events.
• If you register a group, every member agrees to these terms.
• If you're under 18, your parent or guardian agrees to these terms and ticks the box with you.

Paid ads are a separate, optional box. If you leave it unticked, nothing else changes for your entry.
